A key figure in the British blues movement of the 60s and 70s and the founder of the Savoy Brown blues band has died.
Kim Simmonds never had a hit single, but his work with Savoy Brown showcased his skills as a guitarist and songwriter and he remained active for more than 50 years.
Although born and raised in England, Simmonds died in Syracuse, New York at the age of 75.
The cause was cancer.
