Despite their grievances against the British monarchy that led Prince Harry and wife Meghan to step down as members of the Royal family in 2020, the Duke of Sussex ”would like to get my father back.  I would like to have my brother back.”
He also says he wants ”a family, not an institution” and that ”they’ve shown absolutely no willingness to reconcile.”
Those were some of the comments Harry made in an interview with Britain’s ITV News; one of two that airs this Sunday.
The other is with ”60 Minutes,” during which Harry tells Anderson Cooper he’s tried to keep his conversations with the Royal family private, but that he’s had to go public in response to tabloid stories orchestrated by Buckingham Palace.
”Every single time I’ve tried to do it privately, there have been briefings and leakings and planting of stories against me and my wife,” says Harry.
”So when we’re being told for the last six years, ‘We can’t put a statement out to protect you,’ but you do it for other members of the family, it becomes – there becomes a point when silence is betrayal.”
The interviews will air two days before Harry’s autobiography ‘Spare’ is published.
