They are calling this the first ever Canadian-build zero-emission vehicle.
It was introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
Ottawa’s Carleton University and the Ontario Tech University in Oshawa have teamed up with the Automotive Parts Manufacturers’ Association to create a prototype of the sleek, silver concept vehicle, to be known as “Project Arrow.”
The name is a nod to the Avro Arrow. It was the Canadian developed supersonic interceptor jet that was built in Mississauga in the 1950’s, only to be shut down by former Prime Minister John Diefenbaker.
The Automotive Parts Manufacturers’ Association says Canada hasn’t launched a global automaker in a century and Project Arrow is meant to show that the country can offer mobility technology to the world.
