Robbie Bachman, the drummer for the 70’s Canadian super group B-T-O, has died.
No word from what.
He was 69.
Older brother and bandmate Randy, who confirmed the news, describes Robbie as ”an integral cog in our rock’n’roll machine,” calling him ”the pounding beat behind BTO.”
Robbie played in a handful of bands in Winnipeg before joining Randy and  in Brave Belt in 1971.
Brave Belt recorded two albums before changing its name to Bachman-Turner-Overdrive in 1973.
(L to R:  Fred Turner, Robbie Bachman, Randy Bachman,
Blair Thornton)
The group was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2014.
