Pamela Anderson says she’s not looking for sympathy for the many career indignities she details in her recently released memoir and documentary.

“I want to take control of the narrative for the first time,” Anderson explains.

And she absolutely does this as she reflects back on her career and personal life of the 1990s.

Anderson, who was born in B.C., is suddenly back in the spotlight with the recent release of her memoir, Love, Pamela and the documentary Pamela: A Love Story.

The memoir is a companion to the documentary produced by son Dylan Lee that attempts to take control of the narrative and set her sensational story straight.

Both detail the highs and lows of a wild Hollywood career that included several tumultuous romances and a bitter legal battle over the infamous stolen sex tape that she says humiliated her and destroyed job prospects.

The 55-year-old Canadian icon says she’s focused on pursuing a new stage in her life that includes a second season of her TV home renovation show and an upcoming cooking show.
