Doug Ford is not saying anything about John Tory’s relationship with a former staff member, however, the premier is clear where he stands on the question of whether he should stay or go.
”Is he (Tory) the best thing we have in Toronto? Yes he is the best thing,” in the premier’s view.
”Let let’s not upset the apple cart for a personal issue he’s dealing with.
He’s a really, really good mayor and let’s move forward.”
Ford adds Tory has been a ”phenomenal partner” and that it’s not time to change the leadership because everything is going ”tickety-boo.”
However, if there’s an election, there’s one outcome Ford does not want to see.
”Folks, I’ll tell ya, if a left-wing mayor gets in there, we’re toast,” according to the premier, who adds it would be a ”disaster.”
