Volunteers in Edmonton are remembering former U-S president Jimmy Carters visit to their city in 2017.
Habitat for Humanity’s Suzanne Taylor, who volunteered in the construction in southeast Edmonton, remembers Carter for his discipline on site.
“He was very strict on the project, and said if I stop to take a photo with you that means two of us aren’t working,” said Taylor.
The Carter Center announced the 98-year-old former president is spending his remaining time at home with his family, receiving hospice care after a series of hospital stays.
Kingston journalist Arthur Milnes has written a book on Carter “98 Reasons to Thank Jimmy Carter.”
