Weighing out wait times to seek medical help just keeps growing be it at hospitals or walk-in clinics.

Many have either experienced or heard the stories about waiting hours in an emergency department.

Now new data shows the average wait-times of walk-in clinics are soaring across Canada.

Healthcare booking and online search tool Medimap says about 7-in-10 walk-in clinics in six provinces use its software, including Ontario.

Last year patients were waiting an average 59-minutes to be seen; more than double the 25-minute wait in 2022.

While this makes Ontario the second-shortest in terms of wait times of those six provinces, Ontario also had the biggest increase.

Toronto had the longest wait times in the province with an average of 72-minutes, while Brampton had the shortest at 37-minutes.
