U-S intelligence officials now say the assault on the American consulate in Libya may have been a planned terrorist strike to mark the anniversary of the September 11th attacks.
Officials say the attack that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three diplomats was too co-ordinated or professional to be spontaneous.
At first, the attack was thought to be the work of a spontaneous mob enraged over a anti-Islamic YouTube video.
But there’s now a report that as many as 20 heavily armed attackers stormed the American compound and set the consulate on fire.
