It’s a chance to own a piece of Toronto history.
This Monday Honest Ed’s department store will be auctioning thousands of its quirky hand-painted in – store signs advertising everything from footwear to tooth paste.
As the closing of the iconic store looms the hand painted “show cards” will be going for “50 cents and up.”
Long-time General Manager Russel Lazar says people will be let in – in groups of 100 or so – and will be allowed to purchase 2 or 3 of the signs.
All proceeds go to charity.
The sale takes place Monday, March 10th from 11am – 6pm at the famous location at the corner of Bloor and Bathurst.
