VIA Rail expects disruptions on the Toronto to Montreal and Toronto to Ottawa routes to continue well into Friday morning.

The rail company says morning trains 41, 43, 50, 51, 60 and 61 will be replaced by bus.

The disruptions follow a CN  freight train derailment this morning near Brockville.

No one was hurt when the 26-car freight train crashed around 4 a.m.

About 3,600 passengers were affected.

Although half of the derailed cars contained fuel residue, rail officials reported no leaks.

The train was reportedly travelling at about 100 km/h.
