Voters in Mississauga are facing an historic decision on October 27th.  Who should be elected to succeed Hazel McCallion and move the country’s sixth largest city into a new era? There are two clear front runners in the mayoral race; Bonnie Crombie and Steve Mahoney.  Crombie is campaigning on a 20 year plan to build 100 kilometres of rapid transit coverage throughout Mississauga. Mahoney’s Move Mississauga transit plan is not as far reaching as Crombie’s.  His focuses on connectivity to the city’s employment bases, with more of his proposed transit expansion aimed at getting people who live in Mississauga to existing office hubs such as the Pearson airport area and the Meadowvale business park.
