A bouquet of wildflowers painted by Vincent van Gogh just weeks before his death is going on the auction block in New York. Sotheby’s expects “Still Life, Vase With Daisies and Poppies” will sell for between $30 and $50 million on November 4th. It’s one of the few works Van Gogh sold during his lifetime. It was painted 1890. For 30-years the painting was on permanent exhibition at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo. The current unidentified owner purchased it in 1990.
