High praise for more movies – as we approach awards season – and the far-off Oscars.
The American Film Institute has named the coming-of-age tale “Boyhood,” the sci-fi epic “Interstellar” and the civil rights drama “Selma” among its top 10 fims of the year.
The group actually picked 11 films this time, including: Angelina Jolie’s Second World War drama, “Unbroken”; the wrestling story “Foxcatcher”; the show business satire “Birdman”; the Disney musical “Into the Woods”; the Los Angeles fim noir “Nightcrawler”; the jazz school drama “Whiplash”; Clint Eastwood’s Navy SEAL thriller, “American Sniper”; and the war code-breaker tale “The Imitation Game.”
The AFI Awards will be given out on January 11th, in Los Angeles.
