Birdman emerged as the big favourite in this year’s race for the Golden Globe awards.
The black comedic look at the movie industry received seven nominations this morning: best comedy film, best actor for Michael Keaton, best actress for Emma Stone, Best supporting actor for Edward Norton, best direction by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, best screenplay, and best score.
Birdman will be vying for the best comedy or musical award against The Grand Budapest Hotel, Into the Woods, Pride, and St. Vincent.
The nominees for best motion picture drama are Boyhood, Foxcatcher, The Imitation Game, Selma, and The Theory of Everything.
The 72nd annual Golden Globes will be awarded on January 11th.
