The same storm that continues to cause grief in the U.S. northeast has now moved into the Maritimes.   Flights have been cancelled and schools, government offices and universities are closed today.  One meteorologist in Charlottetown says the combination of heavy snow, ice pellets and winds gusting up to 90 kilometres an hour are a potential prescription for disaster. The same weather system has shuttered schools and businesses in many parts of New England.  There have been more than 7,000 flight cancellations as parts of Connecticut and Massachusetts continue to be hammered with blizzard like conditions.  New York City, which had been expecting up to three feet of snow got about ten inches.  As a result, Governor Andrew Cuomo has lifted most of the travel bans in the New York City area.
