The Toronto Catholic District School Board believes its made enough cuts to keep the provincial government happy as it battles to balance it’s budget. The board has now cut $30 million in spending. Trustees voted last night to make reductions to I.T. services, a targeted 5 per cent reduction in general non-staff cuts and a $1.7 million reduction in spending on text books. The board is still about $4 million short of an actual balanced budget which is required by provincial law. The deadline to comply is June.
