Toronto Transit Commission C.E.O. Andy Byford and Commission Chair Josh Colle are in Thunder Bay today to see if they can light a fire at Bombardier and speed up the delivery of Toronto’s new street cars. The company has delivered only 5 of the 204 street cars that were ordered in a $1.25 Billion deal struck in 2009. Bombardier blames strikes and a delay in receiving parts from its Mexican plant but says it can deliver all the cars by 2019.
