TONY CLEMENT SET TO JOIN FEDERAL PC LEADERSHIP RACE

Former Ontario and federal cabinet minister Tony Clement launches in bid for the leadership of the federal PC party this evening in Mississauga.

The one-time member of the Mike Harris and Stephen Harper cabinets joins three others in the race – Kellie Leitch, Maxime Bernier and Michael Chong.
Milton MP Lisa Raitt’s another possible contender.
This is Clement’s second run at the job.
He came in third in 2004 behind Harper and auto parts mogul Belinda Stronach.
The 55-year-old Muskoka-Parry Sound MP is to outline his vision for the party at a launch at the Streetsville Legion 139 at 7pm.
The federal Conservatives elect their new leader May 27, 2017.
