An advocacy groups called “Concerned Ontario Doctors” is calling for the resignation of Health Minister Dr. Eric Hoskins and wants OMA President Dr. Virginia Walley, the OMA Board, as wells as the Deputy Health Minister and the ministry negotiations team to resign as well.  This over concerns with the tentative contract negotiation with the province.

Group co-founder Dr. Nadia Alam calls the 4 year contract a terrible deal.  She complains the OMA President should have gone back to the membership when she decided to have negotiations without the guarantees of binding arbitration.
In an emailed statement, Dr. Walley acknowledges physicians are feeling frustrated after spending more than two years without a contract.
A non-binding vote on the deal is scheduled for later July and early August raising concerns that doctors won’t have enough time to analyze the agreement.
