Two of the biggest names in rock climbing, American Lynn Hill and France’s Catherine Destivelle headline the 41st Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival this fall.

The women are known for their trailblazing ascents of peaks including the Eiger  and the Matterhorn in the Alps.

The Banff festival runs from October 29th to November 6th – and showcases more than 75 films from around the world – focusing on mountain subjects such as climbing and natural history

A selection of the films will later be packaged – and become part of the festival’s annual world tour.
