'ST. ELSEWHERE' STAR SAGAN LEWIS DIES OF CANCER, 63

Sagan Lewis, who played Dr. Jacqueline Wade on the hit 1980s medical drama ”St. Elsewhere,” has died after a six-year battle with cancer.

Her husband Tom Fontana was one of the writers for the show, that also starred Howie Mandel, Denzel Washington and Ed Begley Jr.
They were married twice.
After marrying in 1982, they divorced 11 years later but then remarried July 2015.
Lewis’ other TV credits included ”M*A*S*H,” appearing on the popular military comedy’s final episode.
