The new-age fighter jet once slated to replace Canada’s aging CF-18 fleet has made its debut in Canada.

Two F-35s have arrived in British Columbia – for the Abbotsford International Airshow.

Lieutenant-Colonel George Watkins of the U-S Air Force was one of the pilots who flew the stealth aircraft into Canada – and he says he wouldn’t go to war with any other jet.

The Liberal party campaigned during last year’s election on a promise not to buy the F-35.
