Chelsea Manning, the former American intelligence analyst Bradley Manning who was convicted in the largest breach of classified information in U.S. history to WikiLeaks in 2010, claims to have been denied entry into Canada.

Four years ago, she was convicted on 20 counts, but acquitted of the most serious charge of aiding the enemy.

Manning announced plans to transition shortly after her conviction.

In one of his last acts as president, Barack Obama commuted her sentence and she was released in May after serving seven years of a 35-year sentence.

The 29-year-old Manning says she’s been ”permanently banned” from entering Canada.

The letter says ”if committed in Canada this offence would equate to an indictable offence, namely treason.”

Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale says he has not been asked to intervene and reverse the decision.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said he looked forward to seem more information when asked about Manning during an unrelated event in Toronto.
