NAFTA TALKS IN OTTAWA WRAP UP AMID FEARS TRUMP MAY PULL OUT

The latest and third round of talks aimed at coming up with a new North American Free Trade Agreement has ended in Ottawa with the three countries trade ministers congratulating themselves for what they’ve been able to accomplish.

But U.S. negotiator Bob Lighthizer admits difficult issues are still to come.
That has some worried an an impatient President Donald Trump just might pull the plug if he doesn’t see a win for the U.S. by year’s end.
Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland is not going there.
”I do not have the super power that allows me to look into the heart of a counter-party and know … their … true intention.”
The next round of talks will take place in Washington October 11 to 15.
