NDP Leader Andrea Horwath is welcoming back her campaign boss – just three weeks after forcing him to leave over sexual harassment allegations – while he was chief of staff to two Manitoba premiers several years ago.

Michael Balagus left amid accusations he didn’t take women’s complaints about a cabinet minster seriously – under premiers Gary Doer and Greg Selinger.
In a statement, Balagus has apoligized to those women and to everyone on Horwath’s team.
Horwath credits him with implementing anti-harassment and anti-discrimination polices for New Democrat MPPS and employees – since his arrival at Queen’s Park four years ago.
