Authorities in Austin Texas believe a suspect who died with SWAT officers closing in on him early this morning, was behind all of the bombings in the Texas Capital this month.
Austin Police Chief Brian Manley told a news conference this morning that they identified a suspect last night, located a car he was confirmed driving, began to follow it and when police got near, it appears the man detonated another bomb. He’s identified only as a 24-year old white male. Chief Manley says the motivation for the bombings remains a mystery.
Four package bombs exploded in Austin this month killing two people and injuring four others. A fifth detonated at a FedEx distribution centre near San Antonio early yesterday.
