Legendary American folk singer John Prine was named artist of the year at the Americana Music Honors and Awards last night in Nashville
The pride of Consort, Alberta, 56 year old kd lang, was presented with a life-time achievement award. She joined 82-year old Chicago blues legend Buddy Guy and the 77-year old “Soul Queen of New Orleans” Irma Thomas, in receiving life-time achievement honours.
