The Brampton woman has been reunited with son Jermaine, 31 years after he was allegedly abducted by his father and taken to the U.S. where the pair lived under false identities.

After decades of suffering, she now feels like she’s proof that parents of missing children should not give up hope.

”Believe that all things are possible,” Mann-Lewis said.

The Missing Children Society of Canada calls her ”a tower of strength and perseverance.”

Jermaine Mann’s father, Alan Mann Jr. faces multiple charges in the U.S. but will be extradited to Canada to face one of abduction.

Praising the co-operation between Canadian and American authorities, Toronto Police Chief Mark Saunders says while the arrest was good news, the reunion was even better.

Investigators say the mother and son reunion was especially emotional because the now 33-year-old Jermaine had grown up believing his mother was dead.
