SIR PAUL JOINS RARE COMPANY WITH A GOLDEN BLUE PETER

Sir Paul McCartney is now traveling in some elite company after being awarded a gold “Blue Peter” badge from a BBC Children’s show.
That’s Sir Paul telling Blue Peter presenter Lindsey Russell, that he’ll wear the honour with pride just before going on stage at he O2 arena in London Wednesday night.
The 76-year old music legend joins Queen Elizabeth, author J.K. Rowling and The Lord of the Ring’s Director Peter Jackson as one of the few adults to ever receive one. McCartney was honoured for inspiring generations of people.
The Blue Peter badge was launched in 1963. It is the only badge the children’s program awards to adults.
