You’ll soon be able to add “genius” to the accolades surrounding the life and times of music legend Aretha Franklin.
National Geogrpahic has announced Franklin will be the third subject of its anthology docuseries focusing on Geniuses. She’ll be joining the likes of Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso in being honoured this way.
The Queen of Soul’s death, at the age of 77 this past summer, prompted a flood of fond remembrances and acknowledgments of her monumental contributions to music.
It’s yet to be determined who’ll play Franklin in the series, but she did handpick Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson for a new movie about Franklin’s life.
