It’s going to be hot and humid right across southern Ontario today with Environment Canada warning this could be the hottest day of the year so far.
The forecast calls for variable amounts of sun and cloud with the risk of pop up showers and thunderstorms through the afternoon and evening. The temperature is expected to hit the mid 30s and the humidex is expected to rise above 40.
Saturday could be even hotter and more humid.
We may get some relief Sunday with a cool front bringing showers and lower temperatures and humidity.
Meantime, everyone is urged to take care, especially young children, older adults and pregnant women who are particularly susceptible to the heat.
