Starting Saturday until early November, the intersection of Queen East, Kingston Road and Eastern Avenue will be fully closed for TTC reconstruction work.
During the almost 2-month closure, crews will replace both the streetcar tracks, upgrade the overhead wires, make the eastbound streetcar platform accessible, and make improvements to sidewalks and medians in the area.
(City of Toronto)
Queen Street East will be closed to through traffic between Coxwell and Woodbine Avenues, but there will be access for local residents.
Kingston Road will be closed to through traffic from Queen to Woodbine, again with access for local residents.
Eastern Avenue will be closed at Coxwell to through traffic, but local access will be available from Coxwell to Queen.
Motorists can use Dundas Street and Lake Shore Boulevard for east-west trips, and Woodbine, Greenwood, Jones and Carlaw if going north-south.
