Not only was it one of the most popular series ever aired on Zoomer Media’s Vision TV, the big-screen encore of “Downton Abbey” is proving just as popular at the box office.
It handily, but very politely, beat both Brad Pitt’s “Ad Astra” and Sylvester Stallone’s “Rambo: Last Blood” in theatres over the weekend debuting with $31 million in ticket sales in North America.

The movie comes four years after the TV series finale.  It was written by the show’s creator, Julian Fellowes, and features most of the original cast.

It has already brought in more than $60-million world wide.
