ONTARIO'S TOP DOCTOR ORDERS NEW COVID-19 TESTING GUIDELINES

All healthcare workers and first responders should be tested as soon as they develop any symptoms; even unusual ones.
That from Ontario’s chief medical officer, who also says anyone newly admitted to a long-term care home should be tested, as well as residents; even asymptomatic ones, who’ve had contact with a confirmed case.
Dr. David Williams adds testing of asymptomatic patients, residents or staff is generally not recommended.
He also wants long-term care homes to require all staff and essential visitors to wear masks; whether there’s an outbreak or not.
Currently, there are outbreaks at 69 long-term care homes in the province and 88 deaths.
