Famed Indian actor Irrfan Khan, known internationally for roles in “Slumdog Millionaire” and the movie version of Canadian Author Yann Martell’s “Life of Pi,” has died of cancer.
In 2013, Khan won India’s National Film Award. His international breakthrough came in the British-Indian film “The Warrior.”
In 2018, Khan revealed he had an endocrine tumour and underwent treatment in a London hospital. He’d recently been admitted to hospital with a colon infection.
Irrfan Khan was 53.
