Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced one military member died and five are missing after a CH-148 Cyclone chopper, serving with a NATO operation crashed Wednesday in waters 80-kilometres off the Greek island of Cephalonia.
”All of them are heroes. Each of them will leave a void that cannot be filled,” Trudeau said.

The Cyclone fleet has been put on ”operational pause” temporarily to allow flight safety teams to investigate and rule out any fleet-wide issues.
There were four Royal Canadian Air Force members and two Royal Canadian Navy members on board.
While the search continues for the missing, the cockpit voice and flight data recorders have been recovered.
They’ll be taken to the National Research Council for analysis.
Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan says the cause of the crash is unknown.
