POLL: MOST PLAN PUTTING OFF MAJOR PURCHASES IN THE NEXT YEAR

As economies slowly reopen, personal financial circumstances for many Canadians appear to be improving however still fragile.
That according to the latest Angus Reid Institute survey which finds 80% say their situation is ”good”or ”great,” up 7% from early April.
That said, one-in-five continue to feel they’re in ”bad” or ”terrible” shape.
Vulnerability among the one-in-three receiving E-I or the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) is even higher.
Among those who’ve applied, 30% say they’re barely treading water.
Regardless of their situation, 56% don’t see the next 12 months as an ideal time to make a major purchase such as a home or a vehicle.
