Singer-songwriter/musician/poet/novelist Leonard Norman Cohen was born in the Montreal suburb of Westmount. His poetry, novels and albums have earned him an abundance of awards worldwide: a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, Songwriters Hall of Fame, Polaris Music Prize, and the Glenn Gould Prize – to name a few.
