On June 11, 1988 Nelson Mandela’s 70th birthday tribute took place at Wembley Stadium in London. This large concert featured, Phil Collins, Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, George Michael, Eric Clapton and many more. This event was broadcast like to 40 different countries and had an estimated audience of 1 billion viewers.
