This Sunday at 6pm on Zoomer Crooners and Songbirds, host Lily Frost shows how there was a whole lot of “GIRL POWER!” going on long before The Spice Girls!
Lily takes a deeper look at the early beginnings of the ‘Girl Group’… Starting in the late-’50s doo-wop scene, with echoes of gospel and R&B, girl groups fully developed as an exciting radio phenomenon in the early ’60s. The Andrews Sisters, The Marvelettes, The Shirelles, The Supremes are just a few of the groups you’ll hear this weekend on Zoomer Crooners and Songbirds. Tune in!
