Libby Znaimer is joined by Phil Gurski, President & CEO of Borealis Threat and Risk Consultants as well as a former analyst with CSIS and Mubin Shaikh, former undercover operative for CSIS and the RCMP.

Last Friday, the London bridge area was the scene of a terrorist attack, in which a terrorist wearing a fake suicide bomb vest was wielding a knife. He stabbed two victims to death and wounded three others. The attacker was 28-year-old Usman Khan. It turns out that he was already convicted for a terrorism offence and released from jail last year.

Bystanders eventually tackled Khan to the ground and Police shot him to death.

England had just reduced its terrorism threat level for the first time since 2014. This isn’t the first time that the area of London Bridge was the scene of a terrorist attack. There was one in 2017 as well. Should the public be concerned about a rise in terrorism threats and attacks now that the holidays are around the corner?
