The Province of Ontario has announced plans to take over the sale of marijuana when it’s legalized next summer. Ontario will launch up to 150 stand alone retail outlets for pot, and they’ll be controlled by the LCBO. The government also made it clear that it will be mandating police to shut down existing private dispensaries. We chat with pot activist and entrepreneur Marc Emery to get his views and pharmacist Billy Cheung about the impact this could potentially have on the medicinal use of cannabis.
