Ontario’s independent fiscal watchdog warns that increasing the minimum wage to $15 dollars an hour could cost 50,000 jobs – with job losses concentrated among teens and young adults. It’s a 30% increase in 18 months and it is a centerpiece of the liberals pre-election agenda. Julie Kwiecinski, the Director of Provincial Affairs of Ontario at the Canadian Federation of Independent Business weighs in.
