It started with putting a price on plastic bags at the grocery store. Now, Sobeys is becoming the first national grocery chain to ban single-use plastic bags. That will take effect in 6 months, at which point customers will either have to bring their own bags or use paper bags that Sobeys will supply.

Libby Znaimer is joined by Vittoria Varalli, Vice President of Sustainability at Sobeys Inc., Michelle Genttner, Co-Owner of Unboxed Market and Keith Brooks, Program Director at Environmental Defence.
