VIOLENCE AT NURSING HOMES - SEPTEMBER 4 2019

A senior is dead after succumbing to injuries from a fight that occurred on Tuesday morning at Bendale Acres- a city-operated nursing home in Scarborough.

The victim has only been identified as a male who died of his injuries in hospital. Homicide detectives are investigating and they say staff at the home are cooperating. At least 29 nursing home residents have been murdered by other residents in the last six years.
