Hi, I’m Gene Stevens – here’s what’s coming up on the next ‘Vintage Favourites’.
Our ‘Black History Month’ series continues with ‘how rhythm & blues got soul’. When Ray Charles first blended gospel with the blues, others soon followed – like James Brown and Sam Cooke, Jackie Wilson, The Drifters, then Otis Redding and all the soul brothers and soul sisters.
And I’ll also have a ‘family day’ spotlight on some of the most famous family acts in music, including Canadian music families.
It’s all on the next Vintage Favourites – sweet soul music and great family acts – this Sunday at 2, from Zoomer Radio.
