New York will see the premier this winter of a one-man play about Nazi hunter – Simon Wiesenthal .
Tom Dugan wrote and stars in ” Wiesenthal,” which is scheduled to run from October 24th until February 1st at the Acorn Theatre.
Jenny Sullivan is directing.
Holocaust survivor Wiesenthal helped track down numerous Nazi war criminals. He then spent the later decades of his life fighting anti-Semitism and prejudice against people all over the world.
Wiesenthal spent more than half a century hunting Nazi war criminals, speaking out against racism and neo-Nazism – and remembering the Jewish experience as a lesson for humanity.
It’s estimated that he helped bring some 1,100 Nazi war criminals to justice.
“Wiesenthal” will be produced by Tony Award-winner Daryl Roth and Karyl Lynn Burns.
