ST. PATRICK’S DAY EDITION

This Sunday is March 17th – St. Patrick’s Day – and that only happens to fall on a Sunday about once every seven years, so I’m excited about featuring some amazing songs about Ireland on the next edition of ‘Vintage Favourites’.  There isn’t a sliver of Irish in me – but I’ve got the songs that’ll take us back to ‘The Emerald Isle’ by Bing Crosby, Judy Garland and Dennis Day, as well as The Irish Rovers, Van Morrison, and U2.  Call it ‘the orange and the green’ as well as ‘the sorrows and the smiles’.  And, I’ll also tell you of our recent holiday in Ireland.

Of course the first-hour feature – ‘The Sunday Sock Hop‘ – will again feature some of the best songs of the Fabulous Fifties and Sensational Sixties.  Please tune in this Sunday (March 17) between 2:00 and 4:30. And – what do the Irish say – ‘Dance as if no one were watching, sing as if no one were listening, and live every day as if it were your last.’   I hope you’ll tune in.  Cheers (or ‘Slainte !’)
