DIANA ROSS at 80

She’s one of the greatest and most successful female vocalists ever; Billboard named her ‘Female Entertainer of the Century’ and the Guinness Book of World Records calls her ‘the most successful female singer of all time’. Diana Ross led The Supremes to 12 #1 hits in the 1960s – second-most only to The Beatles, and then she launched her amazing solo career, adding another 6 chart-toppers.

I’ve got a 12-song salute to Diana Ross that covers her 6 decade career, from the very first recording by The Supremes, through the glory years of the 60s, 70s and 80s, right up to the title track from her most recent studio album called ‘Thank You’.

I’ll add some songs by two distinctly different Canadian artists – both born in the upcoming week – the late guitar wizard Jeff Healey and the wonderful tenor John McDermott.  Plus our first hour feature – ‘The Sunday Sock Hop‘ with the best of the 50s and early 60s: Bobby, Connie, Brenda; Fats and Buddy and ‘Skeeter’ too.
